Dr. John Tatone is a 1988 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He went on to complete an additional 300 hours of post graduate training in neurology. In the pursuit of excellence in clinical care he went on to complete an additional 200 hours in spinal rehabilitation. His studies in spinal rehabilitation brought him to Charles University Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic where he was taught by world renowned neurologists Vladimir Janda, M.D. and Karel Lewitt, M.D. He has also trained in the diagnosis and treatment of myofascial pain syndromes under Janet Travell, M.D., the White House physician for John F. Kennedy. He stays current on innovative methods of care and his practice continues to evolve. He is skilled in traditional methods of manual treatment but the majority of his practice enjoys and prefers an instrument based form of treatment called Arthrostim which is gentle and effective with quicker healing times. He is also trained in a variety of methods for treatment of soft tissue disorders. The scope of his practice is not limited to neck or back pain. Headaches, shoulder, hip, arm and leg pain and numbness, whiplash, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive motion disorders, sports and work injuries are commonly seen and treated with success. He works closely with the medical community and enjoys their respect.
He volunteers with Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue Team since its founding in 2005. He is a three-term member of the Team’s Board of directors and remains active in search and rescue missions.
